Mysuru: Deputy Chairman of Karnataka State Planning Board C.M. Ibrahim said on Friday that Siddaramaiah’s government in the State failed to live up to people’s expectations.
Speaking to mediapersons, Ibrahim heaped praise on JD(S) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and said that he had advised the Chief Minister to maintain a good rapport with the former Prime Minister. Ibrahim, who was a member of JD (S) along with Siddaramaiah before joining the Congress, alleged that more than 60 per cent of the bureaucrats in the State government have no commitment to their duties. “Siddaramaiah has also changed along with the system,” Ibrahim alleged.
Ibrahim claimed that Siddaramaiah was himself aware of the inability of his government to live up to the expectations of the people. He also said he had sought a report on the three-year rule of the Siddaramaiah government.
Ibrahim said in conclusion that there was a possibility of like-minded people in different political parties coming together as both Congress and BJP had failed in handling the Mahadayi and Cauvery issues.
