Mysuru: Making strong allegations against CM Siddaramaiah, former revenuer minister and prominent dalit leader from Mysuru region V.Srinivas Prasad launched a tirade against the prior saying “Siddaramiah entered the Congress to become the chief minister of the state and crushed the aspirations of many Congress leaders by resorting to lobby politics”
Addressing news persons in Mysuru after deciding to quit as a congress legislator on October 17, former minister said that when Ahinda lost sheen, Siddu entered Congress.
“When TB Jayachandra and G Parameshwar opposed Siddu’s appointment as the leader of opposition, I backed Siddaramaiah and helped him in taking over the post after consulting Gulam Nabi Azad. But when the party was reeling under crisis due to ‘Operation Kamala’, Siddaramaiah focused on occupying the CM’s post,” he said.
Expressing his discontent with the affairs in state congress , Prasad said, most political leaders leaving aside four or five within the congress are resigned to their fate and would be happy if they get party tickets to contest in the coming assembly elections and occupy the post of board presidents in future.
Next move after introspection
He confirmed that he is not in hurry to become a minister and chief minister at this juncture and not keen to contest in elections too. He did not divulge his future plans but hinted about introspection before taking the next step.
In the meantime JD(S) legislators from the district, S R Mahesh, K T Shrikantegowda and Chikkamadu visited his residence and invited him to join the party.
