Mysuru: Premkumari, a woman who claimed former minister and BJP leader S A Ramadas had secretly married her has decided to take on the latter from K R assembly segment in the forthcoming elections.
Disclosing her decision to contest from either actor Upendra or Anupama Shenoy led party, Premkumari is determined to take on the leader, whom she termed her political mentor.
Alleging injustice to her and children, Premkumari asked Ramadas to relent from his earlier stance taken owing to political pressure and instead settle their relationship tangle amicably.
Exuding confidence of a certain victory, Premkumari said she would use her strength and skills in overpowering Ramadas in the political battleground.
Ruling out reconciliatory talks, Ramadas wished Premkumari success, alleging her of posing many obstacles. Banking on the people’s support, Ramadas said people of the constituency would decide their fortune, declining Premkumari’s offer for talks as the matter related to their alleged affair is pending before the court.
It may be recalled former minister S A Ramadas had attempted suicide in the early 2014 after Premkumari, then a second division clerk in a government office had alleged of having entered into a secret marriage with him. Following claims and counterclaims, the matter reached the courts for settlement.
