Virajpet: At the aegis of St Anns Christian Friends Association, the first ever annual football tournament was held for Christian community at St Anns College grounds here on Friday May 17.
St Anns parish priest Dr Arogyaswamy inaugurated the tournament here on Friday.The football team of St Anthonys parish, Ammatti bagged the first place, St Michaels parish team of Madikeri bagged the second place and St Anns parish team, here bagged the third place.
St Anns College principal Dr Madhulai Muttu, St Anns Christian Friends Association president Judy Vaz, office bearers Vincent Saldanha, Thomas DSilva, Martin, Bernard Chopi Joseph, Paul Xavier and Stany Menezes were present at the occasion.
The district Football Association secretary and trainer Christopher was felicitated at the same occasion.
