Mysuru: Dr Subramanyeshwar Rao took charge as the new City Police Commissioner of Mysuru at the Commissioner’s office in Nazarbad on Tuesday, October 24.
Addressing reporters, Rao said that his priority would be to bring in public-friendly policing system and transparency in administration. He promised that if a common man is turned away by the police without accepting their complaints then he would initiate stern action against the policemen concern. He also said that those who take laws into their hands will be dealt with sternly.
Rao was with the CBI for five years.
