Tiger pelt seized: Four arrested in Mysuru

Mysuru: The Forest Mobile Squad Officials on Monday February 14 arrested four persons when they were trying to sell tiger pelt and recovered the same.

It is said that the accused  Harish, Ramesh, Manu and Rajesh, all are residents of Diddalli Tribal Colony. It is suspected that they hunted down an aged tiger in Taralubage in Thattehalli under Nagarhole National Park few days ago and removed pelt, nails and  teeth.

Forest officials made the arrest posing as buyers. It is said that the officials are investigating the accused, who are suepected to be part of other similar crimes.

A case has been registered and the investigation is on.
