Trapped tiger saved by forest officials in Nagarahole range

Mysuru: The forest department officials have rescued a tiger which was trying to release itself from a trap laid by hunters, here on Saturday, December 8.

The incident took place in the Negaturu village of Shettihalli forest area, Veerana Hosahalli, which comes under the Nagarahole forest jurisdiction. The trapped tiger is 3 years old.

The farmers who noticed the animal trapped immediately informed the forest department officials who immediately responded and rescued the tiger.

The tiger was then shifted to an animal shelter centre.
