
Wife Attacked After Catching Husband with Lover in Mysuru
A shocking case of domestic violence and infidelity has emerged from Shivanagar in Mysuru, where a woman was assaulted and threatened with death after confronting her husband over an illicit relationship.
The victim, Milana, has lodged a complaint at the Vijayanagara police station against her husband Shivalingaswamy and his alleged lover Pavithra.
Milana and Shivalingaswamy have been married for 12 years and have two children. While Milana works at a garment factory, her husband is employed at a private firm. According to the complaint, marital tensions had been ongoing due to Shivalingaswamy’s affair with Pavithra.
The situation escalated when Milana returned home recently and found her husband with Pavithra inside their house. When she questioned them, both Shivalingaswamy and Pavithra allegedly assaulted her and issued threats, stating that he would kill her and marry Pavithra.
Milana, who sustained injuries in the assault, sought medical treatment before approaching the police. A case has now been registered under relevant sections of the law, and an investigation is underway.
The incident has sparked public outrage in the area, with locals demanding strict action against the accused. The case highlights the dangers women face when confronting abuse within their own homes, and the urgent need for responsive policing and legal support for victims of domestic violence.
