A man tragically lost his life following an unusual accident at a hotel. The deceased, identified as Sathish (48), had been managing the Sri Guru Raghavendra Hotel in Halady for the past 12 years. His wife, Geetha (43), lodged a complaint regarding the incident.
According to the complaint, on December 1, after serving lunch to customers, Sathish was cleaning the hotel premises around 3:30 pm. While moving a box of soda bottles near the refrigerator, one of the bottles accidentally fell and shattered. A shard of glass from the broken bottle struck Sathish’s right leg, causing severe bleeding. Geetha quickly rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors worked to stop the bleeding. However, the bleeding could not be controlled, and the doctors recommended transferring him to a hospital in Manipal. Unfortunately, Sathish succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
An unnatural death report has been filed at the Shankarnarayana police station.
