Manipal Student Arrested For Alleged Harassment And Forced Conversion Attempt

A post-graduate medical student from Manipal, identified as Mohammad Danish Khan (27) from Delhi, was arrested by the police following a complaint by a female classmate. The woman, originally from Rajasthan, alleged that Danish, with whom she was reportedly in a relationship, harassed her and pressured her to convert to Islam.

In her complaint filed at the Women’s Police Station in Udupi, the young woman claimed that Danish repeatedly insisted she convert to Islam to marry him. She also accused him of making derogatory remarks against Hinduism, making inappropriate advances, and physically assaulting her. Additionally, she stated that he harassed her over the phone.

After the complaint was lodged, the police arrested Danish Khan, who was subsequently presented in court and is currently in judicial custody.
