The Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), MAHE, is all set to host the long-awaited MIT Manipal Alumni Association (MITMAA) event on Friday, December 20, from 10 am to 4 pm at the MIT Central Library Auditorium, 4th Floor, Manipal.

This event marks a significant milestone in MIT’s history, bringing together distinguished speakers, faculty, students, and alumni to celebrate the institute’s legacy and achievements. The full-day programme promises a rich blend of networking, insightful discussions, and engaging activities.

The idea of launching the alumni association was conceived by MIT’s director, Cdr (Dr) Anil Rana, aiming to create a platform that leverages resources and fosters long-term impact through collaboration between alumni and the institute.

Vinod Easwaran, the Managing Director and CEO of Jio Payments Bank and an MIT alumnus (ECE, 1986-90), will be the chief guest. His address will offer valuable insights into digital banking and his journey from MIT to leading a major financial institution.

Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, VSM (Retd), Vice-Chancellor of MAHE, will be the guest of honor. His inspiring speech will highlight the importance of alumni engagement in driving institutional growth. The event will also feature the unveiling of the MITMAA logo, symbolizing the beginning of a new era of alumni collaboration.

This launch promises to strengthen MIT’s alumni network and set the stage for future initiatives and partnerships that contribute to the institute’s continued success.
