Krv Demands Government Medical College For Vijayapura, Calls For Implementation Of Sarojini Mahishi Report (1)

VIJAYAPURA: Shrishail Mulaji, the newly appointed District President of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV), has called on the government to establish a government medical college in Vijayapura district. Addressing media on Thursday, June 20, Mulaji highlighted the district’s need and existing infrastructure, criticizing the government’s lack of initiative.

Mulaji pointed out that a proposal for a medical college was prepared during the tenure of Shivanand Patil as Health Minister in the previous Congress-JD(S) coalition government but failed to materialize due to government inaction. With two ministers, MB Patil and Shivanand Patil, currently in the government, Mulaji urged them to push for the establishment of the medical college.

Additionally, KRV has demanded the implementation of the Sarojini Mahishi committee report, which advocates for job reservations for Kannadigas in the private sector. Mulaji announced plans for a mega protest outside Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru to press for the report’s implementation.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the City Corporation’s failure to enforce the rule requiring shop names to be written in Kannada, Mulaji urged immediate action on the order.
