Woman Dies as House Collapses Due to Heavy Rainfall in Yadgir

In Yadgir district, Karnataka, a tragic incident occurred on August 2 when a house collapsed due to incessant rainfall. The incident took place in Hurasagundagi village, Shahapura taluka. Sakinabi Nadaf, 70, was killed instantly when the wall of her house fell on her while she was sitting on an embankment in front of a neighbor’s house. Despite efforts to get her to Kalaburagi Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries en route.

Two other women sustained minor injuries in the incident and were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The ongoing heavy rains have exacerbated the situation, causing significant disruptions and highlighting the urgent need for improved infrastructure and disaster preparedness.
