Karwar: Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh paid a visit to Karwar Naval Base, on Thursday and lauded the efforts put in by the Naval Base during the COVID pandemic.
He appreciated the move of opening the doors of INHS Patanjala during the pandemic and pointed out that it is the first Armed Forces hospital in the country to have treated civilians.
“Patients from Uttara Kannada were provided quality care leading to their speedy recovery,” he said.
He further said that the Navy will continue to maintain `a high-tempo of operations’ and `peak combat readiness’ to tackle any contingency.
