Puttur: In an unfortunate accident, a man who was dropping his son on a bike to board to Bengaluru succumbed to injuries after his bike was involved in a collision with an Omni. The incident occurred in the late night of Sunday July 3 at Kumbra on Mani – Mysuru National Highway. His son who has been grievously injured is admitted to hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Raghunath Shetty of Panjigudde. It is said that the Omni belonged to Traffic Police Station staff Sheenappa. While Raghunath Shetty succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, the grievously injured son has been shifted to Mangaluru hospital from Puttur Hospital.
The Town Police has registered a case.
