Madikeri: Member of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and resident of the Kattalekadu village, Ganesh Poojari (34) was part of the bomb defusal operation that took place on Monday, January 20, soon after a live bomb was found at the Mangaluru International Airport.
He was also part of the CISF team that detected the suspicious bag containing the live bomb at MIA.
Ganesh, son of Thimmappa and Saroja Poojari, joined the paramilitary force in the year 2007. After his training, Poojari was posted in Rajasthan and other states of the country. He was appointed as CISF commando to the Mangaluru airport just a few years ago.
His wife, Shanthi also serves in the Indian Army. What’s special is that she is also part of MIA’s security force. She had earlier served in places like Delhi and Lucknow.
