Bengaluru: A week after it was shut down as five persons including the chief priest died in the landslide, Talacauvery temple will open for devotees from today, August 14.
Till now NDRF and SDRF teams have been able to retrieve the bodies of only two i.e. chief priest Narayana Acharya and Anandatheertha Swami till now. Three missing persons, including Shantha, wife of Narayan Acharya have still not been traced.
According to DC Annies Kanmani Joy, the road between Bhagamandala and Talacauvery is restored by the PWD officials. The premises of the temple is also cleared. “The puja and other activities will resume from Friday,” she informed.
A massive landslide at Brahmagiri, in Talacauvery had left five persons missing, thereby stalling the rituals at the temple too.
