Man confronts tourists for littering in Himachal, video goes viral
A man in Himachal Pradesh went the extra mile to address littering by tourists after noticing trash being thrown out of a bus. The incident was captured in a video shared on Reddit, where the man expressed his frustration over the careless behavior. “It’s shameful to see people who come to Himachal and leave behind a trail of litter as they go!” he wrote in the caption.
While trailing the tourist bus, the man witnessed food wrappers and plastic bags tossed out of its windows. Determined to make a point, he followed the bus, caught up with it, and boarded to speak directly with the passengers. He urged them not to litter, especially given the region’s ban on plastic use. “Keep a garbage bag inside to throw your trash,” he advised.
Despite the driver’s claim that a garbage bin was available on the bus, it was clear the tourists chose not to use it. The man, upset by the disregard for the environment, reminded the group that Himachal Pradesh offers “pristine hills” that deserve respect, not waste.
The video quickly garnered widespread attention on Reddit, with many praising the man’s civil but firm approach. Users applauded his efforts to educate tourists, emphasizing the need for responsible tourism in ecologically sensitive areas.
