139 new COVID-19 cases, six deaths reported from Dakshina Kannada district

Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday, August 1, reported 139 new COVID-19 positive cases and six deaths as a result of the disease.

According to the bulletin released by the district administration, 91 of the new cases are from Mangaluru, 19 are from Bantwal, 14 are from Belthangady, nine are from Puttur, and six are from other districts.

Additionally, the bulletin states that there are a total of 5,852 positive cases have been reported in the district, of which 3,008 are active.

On a positive note, 54 people were discharged after making a full recovery. So far, 2,685 people have been discharged.
