Manglauru: The Inner Wheel Club of Mangalore North had its On-line Installation Ceremony for the year 2020-21 on 25 July 2020 with Mrs. Asha Nayak handing overcharges to Mrs. Nirmala Pai and her team of office bearers who were installed by PDC Dr. Malini Hebbar and PDC Shameem Kunil. Mrs. Divya D’Souza, an NLP Therapist, Parenting Coach & Transformation Specialist graced the function as Chief Guest and RI District 3181 Governor PHF Rtn Ranganath Bhat was the Guest of Honour.

The well-attended virtual meet had PP Jayashri Basri rendering IW prayer. ISO Geetha Rai read out messages and outgoing secretary Vasanthi Kamath presented the report of the activities of 2019-2020. PP Rajani Bhat introduced the newly installed President Mrs. Nirmala Pai. PP Ramamani Bhat and Mrs. Pooja Jalan introduced the Guest of Honour and the Chief Guest. The birthday greetings were conveyed by PP Sheela Jayaprakash and VOT was proposed by Vice President Savitha Shetty. PP Shobhana and Mrs. Kavitha Kamath compering the show.
Good wishes came pouring in and the notable ones were from IW District 318 Chairman Varija Jagdish, philanthropist Mrs. Mohini Pai from Bangalore, Mr. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian of Tata’s, Mr. Annappa Pai of ACE Food, Mr. Ajith Pai, COO of Delhivery, Mr. Arvind Pai, Director of Consulting Practices Oracle, PDC Mitra Prabhu and PDC Rajalaxmi Shetty.
Inner Wheel is an International Service Organisation and impressive projects such as the distribution of 3 tons of potatoes to old age homes, orphanages, destitute homes in Mangalore/Surathkal and 100 needy families during the lockdown, donation of a sewing machine to Inchara Foundation towards empowerment of girls, a donation to a cancer patient, distribution of essential food items to 50 transgenders and virtual celebration of Vanamahotsav have already been put into action. These projects have been sponsored by Mr. Annappa Pai & family, PP Sushma Bansal, and members of the IW Club of Mangalore North.
The club will continue to serve society answering the call given by the IW Association President Vasudha Chandrachud, focussing on HOPE, an acronym for Health/Hygiene, Old people/Orphans, Patriotism and Environment
