Covid positivity rate falls below 5% in six more districts of K’taka

Mangaluru: As the positivity rate of the cases in six of the 12 districts have decreased below 5 percent they have been moved to unlock 2.0 Covid guidelines.

The district where the positivity rate has fallen below 5 percent are Udupi, Bengaluru rural, Shivamogga, Ballari, Chitradurga and Vijayapura. Therefore districts under lockdown 2.0 guidelines are Uttara Kannada, Belagavi, Mandya, Koppal, Dharwad, Chikkabalapura, Tumakuru, Kolar, Bengaluru Urban (including BBMP Area), Gadag, Raichur, Bagalkot, Kalaburagi, Haveri, Ramanagara, Yadgir, Bidar, Udupi, Bengaluru rural. Shivamogga, Ballari, Chithradurga and Vijayapura. So, now there are 23 districts which fall under lockdown 2.0 guidelines as against earlier 17 districts.

With these changes six districts namely Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Chamarajanagara, Chikkamagaluru, Davanagere, and Kodagu remain under lockdown 1.0 guidelines. Mysuru district still remains locked.
