Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district registered 194 fresh cases and six COVID-19 deaths, on Saturday, August 8.
All of the six deceased are from the Mangaluru taluk. Comorbidities were found in five of the six cases.
The total COVID positive cases stand at 7,075, while 3,374 are active cases.
The district’s total COVID fatality stands at 214.
As many as 183 patients were discharged, on Saturday from Wenlock and private hospitals.
Among the 194 new cases, 129 are from Mangaluru, 15 are from Bantwal, 16 are from Belthangady, 16 are from Puttur, seven are from Sullia, and 11 are from other districts, the district health bulletin informed.
