Four out of six domestic flights scheduled from MIA cancelled

Mangaluru: Though six domestic flights were scheduled to operate for three different destinations from Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on May 25, four were cancelled due to lack of passengers and technical reasons.

As Ministry of Civil Aviation has consented to operate domestic flights, a total of six flights were scheduled to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Chennai. While three flights were scheduled for Bengaluru, two were scheduled to Mumbai and one was scheduled to Chennai. As there was lack of passengers and other technical reasons, flights scheduled to Mumbai and Chennai have been cancelled now.

Out of the three flights scheduled to Bengaluru, one which was schedule in day time has been cancelled. The first flight Indigo (6E 0388) scheduled to Bengaluru will depart at around 7.35 pm and another flight Spicejet (SG 3744) will depart from MIA at around 9.50 pm to Bengaluru, sources from MIA informed.
