Mangaluru: Work to repair potholes on the Kulur bridge began, causing heavy traffic jam for more than an hour on Monday June 14.
The old Kulur bridge was completely destroyed a few years ago, causing traffic disruption. The bridge and the road over it were repaired last year after massive public protest.
However, the pre-monsoon showers has caused multiple potholes on the road.
The works could have been carried out during the lockdown or after 10 am, when the lockdown relaxations were off and the vehicle traffic were halted, according to motorists stranded in the traffic jam.
