More than 100 journalists in K’taka succumbed due to Covid 19: Shivanand Tagadur

Mangaluru: More than 100 journalists in the state succumbed due to Covid 19, said Shivanand Tagadur, state president of Karnataka State Working Journalists Association.

Speaking at Mangalore Press Club he said, “Amid two waves of Covid 19 journalists worked as frontline warriors. We lost many journalists. More than 100 journalists have been succumbed due to pandemic.

Shivananda Tagadur said the Karnataka Government has distributed 5 lakhs relief funds to the families of Covid 19 victims through the working journalist association. He thanked the state government for declaring the journalists as frontline warriors and providing them anti-Covid vaccination on priority.
