No room for lapses during SSLC examination: Min Kota Srinivas Poojary

Mangaluru: District in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary directed concerned officials to make necessary preparations to hold the SSLC examinations. 

He was speaking after presiding over the meeting at the deputy commissioner’s auditorium he said, “As per schedule, the exams are going to be held on July 19 and July 22. Only 12 students will be accommodated in each room in order to maintain social distance.” 

DC Dr Rajendra said that the staff deployed to supervise the examination should compulsorily get vaccinated. “The block education officer and health department officials should ensure that the staff get vaccinated on priority,” the DC added.

“It is necessary to make transportation arrangements to ferry students from their residences. 441 students and their parents crossing the Kerala border should be subjected to RT-PCR tests. Students who test positive for Covid should be brought in an ambulance. They should be allowed to take the exam at Covid Care Centers.” he said.

Deputy director of public instruction, Mallayya Swamy stated that 179 examination centres have been arranged this time. “32,567 students in the district will write the examination. Two rooms are reserved in every examination centre for students with Covid symptoms. 3,708 staff members are prepared. 2,718 rooms are arranged,” he informed.

DSP Rishikesh Sonawane, District panchayat chief executive, Kumar and MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Concerned officials were participated in the meeting.
