MBA student’s fatal fall and BTech student’s suicide shock communities
An MBA student, Harshit Tyagi, lost his life after a fatal fall from the ninth-floor balcony of Angel Jupiter Society in Indirapuram on Tuesday. Rushed to a private hospital in Noida, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Harshit was visiting his aunt’s home when the incident occurred. Reports indicate he had a history of drug addiction, prompting police to investigate further.
In another heart-wrenching incident, 20-year-old Madala Rahul Chaitanya, a first-year BTech student at IIIT Allahabad, died by suicide on Saturday night, a day before his 21st birthday. He jumped from the fifth floor of his hostel at 11:55 PM and was taken to SRN Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Chaitanya, hailing from Telangana’s Nizamabad district, was enrolled under the deaf-and-mute category. He had been struggling with academic pressure and had stopped attending classes for three months. Hours before his death, he sent a message to his mother, urging her to take care of his younger brother and father. Alarmed, she attempted to call him, but his phone was switched off. Upon reaching the campus the next day, she was devastated to learn of his passing.
Authorities continue their inquiries into both tragic cases.
