Miss World: A Golden Opportunity to Showcase Telangana
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy lashed out at BRS leader KT Rama Rao for opposing the Miss World competition in Hyderabad. He questioned the objections raised and emphasized that the event would boost tourism by attracting delegates from 140 countries for 25 days.
Addressing a gathering where he handed over appointment letters to 922 candidates in the Panchayat Raj department, Revanth highlighted the global exposure Hyderabad would receive. He assured that the government wouldn’t waste public funds, arguing that an investment of Rs 10-20 crore could generate hundreds of crores in revenue.
Revanth accused Rama Rao of misusing funds under the Formula E race pretext and now facing legal consequences. He further alleged that black money was being pumped into social media platforms to spread fake news and tarnish the Congress government’s image.
Defending his administration, he criticized BRS leaders for failing to provide jobs over the last 10 years, whereas the Congress government had already filled 57,924 vacancies in just 10 months.
Launching the “Build Now” portal, he stressed the government’s commitment to transparency, ensuring that all building approvals in Hyderabad would be processed online to curb corruption.
