Mangalore: State Minister for Fisheries Abhayachandra Jain and Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo along with other leaders of Congress celebrated Christmas at the Muslim Central Committee office, Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Temple and Jamiyyatul Falah premises on Wednesday, December 25.
With an aim to maintain unity and harmony among different communities such a program was initiated wherein prayers were offered at Kudroli Temple followed by a cake cutting to mark the Christmas celebration, sweets were also distributed.
JR lobo spoke about peace and accordance among people of different communities while Abhaychandra Jain rendered a talk on Tulunandu and communal harmony.
The MLA personally visited various places today to share the joy and happiness of Christmas. Ibrahim Kodijal, T K Sudhir, Balakrishna Shetty, Denis D’silva, Austin, Roshan, Krithin Kumar, Ashraf, Haneef, Badruddin, Aboobakkar, Shekabba, Moosa, Sri Sri Sathyanandatirtha Swamiji, H S Sairam, Saduddin Saleeh, Nazeer Ahmed, P B A Razak, B S Mohammed Basheer, Mohammed Panemangaluru, Imtiaz Khateeb and others were also present during the visits.
