Bantwal: In a curious incident reported from near the BC Road Microstation here on January 9, Thursday, a snake tried to hunt down a cat and swallow it.
The snake and the cat had a fierce fight in the compound of one Canteen Naga here and our photographer Kishore Peraje captured the encounter in his camera. Though usually a cat gains an upper hand in a fight with a snake, in this case it was vice versa and the snake had tried to swallow the face of the cat and finally left the place after failing in its attempt. The cat which was seriously injured has died.
