Yalanduru: Two persons including a JD(S) leader had a miraculous escape from the jaws of death after their Scorpio vehicle suddenly went up in flames due to a technical snag near the town police station.
The vehicle belonged to Babu of Singanallur village. Ravikumar, a local JD(S) leader along with another person was travelling in the car. Fire was noticed in the car while it was proceeding on the National Highway 209. The two immediately got out of the car and escaped unhurt.
By the time the fire tender vehicles rushed to the spot, the vehicle was gutted. Vehicular traffic was obstructed for some time due to the mishap. A case has been registered in local police station.
