Vadodara: At least six people have been killed after two multi-storey building collapsed in Vadodara district of Gujarat. According to reports, scores of people are still trapped under the debris.
Both the buildings were residential apartments. While one building was humble abode of 12 families, another was vacant.
The incident occurred in Atladara area in Vadodra. The apartments were constructed by Vadodara Urban Development Authority.
The rescue teams have reached the site and started the operations to evacuate trapped people.
Chief Minister Narendra Modi was informed of the incident. He tweeted to say that one of his ministers was on his way to the site.
