Bengaluru: Two people have been arrested by the Parappana Agrahara police for sexual assaulting a 23 year old woman, who works as a security guard in a private firm.
Santhosh, 21, and Anand, 24 from Kudlu near Parappana Agrahara are the accused, both auto drivers by profession. According to sources the incident took place in the house of the woman at Vasu Layout in Kudlu.
In the complaint, she stated that on Sunday, the accused Santhosh had come to her house in a drunken state and allegedly raped her twice. Later, he contacted his friend Anand, who came to the house and allegedly raped her before escaping. Santhosh was heavily drunk and fell asleep in the woman’s house. Meanwhile, the victim called some of her friends and informed the police. The police rushed to the house and took Santhosh into custody immediately before arresting Anand.
The police sources said, “The woman was living alone in the house for the last one year. She was married about six years ago and has son. She had left her husband a few years ago due to differences between them. Her son was living with her mother in K R Pet in Mandya district. Santhosh was known to the victim through a common friend.”
Both the accused and the victim underwent medical tests. Further investigations are on.
