Bidar: MLC Dr. Chandrashekhar Patil and Bhimrao Patil have instructed the police officials to identify miscreants within a day and punish severely those who insulted Ambedkar’s portrait by throwing cow dung.
They visited the protest site at Ambedkar Circle in Ghataborala Village of Humnabad Taluk in the District and said such incidents are an insult to the Village. Police officers and concerned authorities should be careful not to let such incidents happen in future.
Police officials have already received some information and will arrest the accused soon. They said that all the people of the Village should cooperate with the police.
Speaking on the occasion, the women of the village said that there are various circles on the same road. The portrait of great men should never be insulted. But why is Ambedkar’s portrait being repeatedly insulted?” they asked. They demanded that the Gram Panchayat should immediately install CCTV cameras.
