Shivamogga: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that the people of Theerthahalli have not forgotten the development of the Town.

Speaking at the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of development works worth Rs. 618 Crore on Sunday November 27, the CM said, “Our Government has sanctioned Rs. 618 Crore. Action has been taken after giving administrative approval for the work. The multi-village drinking water project and the Jal Jeevan Mission have been completed. Through this, clean drinking water is being provided to every household,” he added.

“We will take steps under the leadership of former Chief Minister B. S. Yadiyurappa to solve the problems of Malnad region. State Government has been instructed to take permission from the central government to resolve the issue of the victims. Therefore, the Government will conduct a thorough survey and get the Centre’s permission and solve the problems of the victims in the December,” he said.

The problem of the victims could have been resolved before the Conservator of Forest Act came into force but the then Government did not solve the problem. But now they are doing politics on this issue. This is unpardonable. How many times politics is being done on one issue?” he asked.
