We all know it is dangerous when we spot a vehicle driving on the wrong side, and it’s worse when this is from a truck driver, as in the recent case in Belagavi, costing the life of a young man, a son, husband and father of two.
The incident was said to have taken place at about 10.45 PM last Friday, somewhere near the Ashoka circle at Fort Belagavi.
The driver’s excuse here was that he was trying to avoid barricades, which were placed somewhere ahead of the circle.
Unfortunately, his decision led to the tragedy in the life of Srikanth Suresh Hampannavar, a native of Maruthi Nagar, whose life came to a sad end at the ripe age of 32.
It is in this light that the traffic North division police station has come forward to file a case against the driver
