A Nepalese woman named Aarti Hamal, aged 36 and daughter of a mayor in Nepal, has been reported missing in Goa, according to her father. Aarti, who follows Osho meditation practices, had been residing in Goa for several months and was last spotted on Monday night.
Reports indicate that Aarti was last sighted near Ashvem Bridge around 9:30 pm on Monday. She had been actively involved with the Osho Meditation Centre during her stay in Goa, as per The Himalayan Times, a Nepalese newspaper.
Gopal Hamal, mayor of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city, has turned to social media to seek assistance in locating his eldest daughter. He mentioned that Aarti’s disappearance was communicated to the family by one of her friends.
Taking to Twitter, Gopal stated, “My eldest daughter, Aarti, a practitioner of Osho meditation, has been residing in Goa for a while now. However, we have been informed by her friend that she has lost contact with Aarti Zorba Vibes Ashwem Breeze since yesterday. I kindly urge the residents of Goa to aid in the search for my daughter, Aarti.”
He added, “Furthermore, my younger daughter Arzoo and son-in-law will be flying to Goa tonight to assist in locating our elder daughter, Aarti.” Gopal also shared three contact numbers on social media for anyone with information about his daughter’s whereabouts.
“I earnestly request you to reach out at 9794096014/8273538132/9389607953 to provide any assistance necessary in locating my daughter,” he wrote on X.
In response, Goa Police has initiated a search operation following the filing of a missing person’s report.
