Three Bikers Arrested in Bengaluru for Harassing Women

Three bikers were arrested in Bengaluru on Monday following an incident where they allegedly harassed a group of women inside a car while chasing them on the Koramangala-Madiwala route on Sunday night. The incident, captured in a viral video, showed one of the men attempting to open a car door while the vehicle was in motion.

In the video, one of the women inside the car can be seen crying out for help while driving, as she calls the police for assistance. The bikers were seen chasing the car, demanding the door to be opened, and attempting to block the vehicle’s path, leading to a tense situation. The distressed woman pleaded for assistance, stating that the bikers were verbally abusing her and trying to force their way into the car.

Responding to the viral video, Bengaluru police confirmed that FIRs have been filed against the accused individuals. The three bikers seen in the video have been apprehended by the authorities.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast Bengaluru) CK Baba commended the women for their alertness in contacting the police during the emergency. In a social media post, he assured that immediate action was taken, with FIRs registered and the culprits arrested.

Baba urged residents to utilize the emergency helpline number 112 to report such incidents promptly, emphasizing the importance of obeying road traffic rules to ensure the safety of all individuals on the roadways.
