Shivamogga: In a heart-wrenching incident, three young students, all in class 10, lost their lives after drowning in the Tunga River on Monday evening.
Rafan, Ayan, and Samar had gone for a swim following Iftar near Rama Mantap in Tirthahalli. Tragically, their evening of leisure turned fatal when they found difficulties while swimming and were unable to stay afloat.
Upon receiving the information, teams from the fire and emergency department, and local police rushed to the spot. After an exhaustive search of an hour, the bodies of the three youths were fished out from the river.
