Vijay Devarakonda Acknowledges “Peanuts” Pay Before “Kushi”

South star Vijay Devarakonda, famed for his role in “Arjun Reddy,” is set to release his much-awaited movie, “Family Star,” on April 5th. The film, which features Vijay and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles, is a family-oriented movie. There is buzz in Tollywood that he charged Rs. 15 crore for this movie.
During a recent promotional event for “Family Star,” Vijay opened up about his remuneration. He revealed that he was paid “peanuts” until his film “Kushi,” for which he received Rs. 12 crore. Vijay confessed that his market price increased after “Kushi,” and he is now earning a comfortable amount. He highlighted the importance of focusing on one’s craft and performance rather than money, especially for an outsider in the industry.
“Family Star” is directed by Parasuram Petla, marking Vijay’s second collaboration with the director after the 2018 super hit film “Geetha Govindam.” The film is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, a well-known production house in the Telugu film industry owned by Dil Raju.
