Notably, co-owner Preity Zinta, a regular attendee of Punjab Kings’ home matches, expressed her dismay at the narrow loss to Rajasthan Royals. The fluctuation in her mood throughout the match epitomized the challenging journey of Punjab Kings in the tournament thus far.
Even the stand-in captain, Sam Curran, acknowledged the team’s shortcomings in batting while highlighting their adaptation to the new home ground in Mullanpur. Despite the close contests witnessed at the venue, Punjab Kings’ campaign suffered another setback with their loss to Rajasthan Royals.
