Actors Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan recently celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary on April 20 by sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram. The couple, accompanied by their daughter Aaradhya, shared a lovely family portrait capturing the joyous occasion.

Rather than a lengthy message, the couple conveyed their affection with a simple red heart emoji, symbolizing their deep love for each other. Fans showered the couple with warm wishes for their anniversary in the comments section.
Abhishek and Aishwarya first crossed paths while filming Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke in 2000, later collaborating on Umrao Jaan in 2006. Despite being good friends, Abhishek confessed on the Oprah Winfrey show that he harbored feelings for Aishwarya, even wishing to marry her while shooting in New York. Fate intervened when they coincidentally stayed at the same hotel for the premiere of their film Guru in 2007, prompting Abhishek to propose. They tied the knot later that year and welcomed Aaradhya into their lives in 2011.
Abhishek’s most recent appearance was in R Balki’s 2023 film Ghoomer, portraying a disgraced cricketer turned coach. He is set to star in Shoojit Sircar’s upcoming project, along with Be Happy on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s last role was in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: I and II, where she portrayed Nandini, a captivating queen striving for power. She has yet to announce her next venture.
