Chennai Deluge, City under Water

Chennai: Chennai hit by worst rain in 100 years, death toll rises to 188.Life crippled here, flooding numerous roads, neighbourhoods, train tracks and airport runways and crippling transport and power supply. Trains have stopped, phone lines are out, Rs.15,000 crore loss estimated.  

The state has deployed personnel of the State Disaster Response Force, the Fire and Rescue Service personnel, Coastal Security Group in all the affected places.
