Mysuru: It is a lie that the CM family and son Vijayendra are interfering in the administration. CM Yediyurappa is not a rubber stamp CM, said Mysuru District In-Charge Minister ST Somashekhar.

ST Somashekhar spoke to media after garlanding Babu Jagjivan Ram’s idol to mark his 114th birth anniversary. Responding to allegations that CM’s son Vijayendra is taking care of all the administration and Mysuru in-charge is a dummy, Somashekar said that the opposition is simply naming Vijayendra as they are scared of his entry into Mysuru. CM Yediyurappa has impartial given grants to all 224 constituencies, he maintained.

The candidate, Bhojraj, will win by a margin of 15 to 20000 votes as Ooty constituency has more of Kannadigas. The chief minister family and son does not interfere in the administration. The opposition is simply accusing of interference. Vijayendra is the vice president of the BJP. But chief minister is the head of the government. He has been in politics for last 45 years. He is a four-time chief minister and how could he become a rubber stamp, he questioned.

Responding to the statement that the probe was not properly conducted on the CD issue, the incharge minister said that the officials in charge of the SIT probe are competent and impartial. Opposition needs to have patience; he took a jibe.

Mysuru has asked for 5 lakh vaccines. However, we have got only 8000 doses. So yes, there is a shortage, he informed and added this has been brought to the notice of health minister. Over 260 Covid cases are reported every day in Mysuru and if we receive 5 lakh vaccine everything will be control, he said and finally requested health minister over the phone to send at least 2 lakh vaccines.
