Mysuru: A pre-wedding shoot turned tragic when an accident claimed the lives of the to-be bride and the groom, on Monday morning, at T Narasipura.
The deceased are Shasikala (20) and Chandru (28), both residents of Kyatamaranahalli.
The couple was supposed to tie the knot on November 22 and the two had come to the banks of the river Cauvery at Talakadu for a pre-wedding shoot.
The two were made to step in a coracle for the shoot.
Unfortunately, the coracle capsized in the middle of the river, causing the two to drown right in front of their family members, who had accompanied them to the spot.
The man rowing the coracle, however, managed to save himself.
The dead bodies of the two were found by swimmers later.
A case has been registered at Talakadu police station.
