Mysuru: The remaining employees of the pharmaceuticals company, of which several employees tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), have been asked to quarantine themselves in separate rooms.
Jawaid Akhtar, principal secretary of the health department informed that an investigation is underway to find out if the pharma company has any ties to China. “The department is investigating whether the company has any connection with China or received any object which might have brought the coronavirus with it,” he said, according to a report by ANI.
It can be recalled that one of the employees of the company was the first to test positive for COVID-19 without having a history of travel to any coronavirus-hit areas or contact with anyone known to have the disease.
So far, Karnataka has reported 105 COVID-19 cases, with three deaths and 9 recoveries.
