Mysuru: The district administration has introduced helicopter rides and user-friendly Gold cards for tourists visiting the culture city this Dasara to promote tourism.
Local MLA Somashekhar flagged off the first chopper on Saturday at Lalith Mahal palace helipad. Two private company choppers will be in operation between 9 am and 5 pm till October 5th to fly interested tourists.
The 10 minute duration flight will cover the prime locations in the city where tourists can get an aerial view of the beautiful city at a mere Rs 2300 for each with a discount of Rs 100 for physically challenged persons.
DC D Randeep, ADC Yogesh, CMC Commissioner G Jagadish accompanied MLA Somashekar in the inaugural flight.
Tickets can be purchased both online and at helipad counter.
User-friendly Gold cards
The District administration also introduced Gold cards for tourists.
Each gold card will cost Rs 3999 and the same can be availed online on Dasara website as well as on Bookmyshow.com.
Special seating arrangements will be made for gold card holders at palace premises and parade grounds to facilitate them witness Jamboo savari and torch light parade in the evening on Vijayadashami day.
Tourists can visit all prime tourist locations using the gold card and entry will be for only one gold card holder.
