Mysuru: As part of Dasara festival, various cultural programs will be held at seven different venues, including at Mysuru palace and Kalamandir, from September 29 to October 7. Artistes and their troupes from various parts of the country will perform for nine days.
Jyothi, CEO, ZP told newskarnataka.com that the cultural programs will be held from September 29 to October 6 at the palace, while at the rest of venues which include Kalamandir, Kiru Rangamandira, Jaganmohan Palace, Ghanabharathi, Town Hall, Chikka Gadiyara and Naadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha the cultural programs will be held from September 29 to October 7.
On all these days, three to four cultural performances will be held every day between 5.30 pm and 10 pm. Few programs on Jayachamaraja Wadiyar will be presented at the Mysuru Palace to commemorate Jayachamaraja Wadiyar’s 100th birth anniversary.
“Top artists from across the state and country will be seen performing during the nine-day event. Last year there were six venues while this year we have included Naadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha taking the number of venues to seven.
Artists from Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai and Tamil Nadu will also be performing during nine-day cultural extravaganza,” added Jyothi. The event will be open to all without a fee.
