DC urges people to cooperate as tourists destinations cannot be shut down

Mysuru: District Collector Rohini Sindhuri emphasized that Mysuru’s tourist destinations and boundaries cannot be effectively controlled without the cooperation of the people.

In a conversation with reporters on Sunday, she said the people who visit Chamundibetta also visit tourist destinations like the Mysuru Palace and Mysuru Zoo. Keeping the safety of tourists in mind, a corona test is being conducted at the Palace. She also urged the citizens to cooperate with the test and other protocols set in place to combat the spread of the virus.

The DC also informed that all taluk hospitals have beds equipped with oxygen cylinders and mentioned that there is no shortage of beds in the district.

The spread of Coronavirus has been curbed bu increasing the corona tests in the district and by providing adequate treatment for the patients. DC emphasises that social distance needs to be maintained and all Covid-19 guidelines have to be strictly adhered to beat the virus.
