GSSSSIETW Mysuru hosts Int’l meet on publishing in top SCI indexed journals

Mysuru: IEEE Student Branch of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE Mysore Sub Section organized an International Webinar on “How to publish in A* grade /SCI-indexed journals” held recently. Dr Sardar M. N, Professor, ISILC, & Decision Sciences and Modelling Program; Victoria University, Australia was the resource person.

The webinar was graced by Dr Shivakumar M, Principal, GSSSIETW, Dr Parameshachari B D, Professor & Head, Dept. of TCE & IEEE Student Branch Counselor, GSSSSIETW, Mysuru and participants from different universities across the world. The webinar was coordinated by Dr Manjula G, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, Keerthi Kumar M and Nayana C G, Assistant Professors, Department of TCE, GSSSSIETW, Mysuru.

The webinar on “How to publish in A* grade /SCI-indexed journals” was given by Dr Sardar M. N   Professor, ISILC, & Decision Sciences and Modelling Program; Victoria University, Australia. He has published 29 authored scholarly academic books by reputed publishers and over 250 articles. His academic work has gained international acclaim in different areas, resulting in many Honours and Awards.

Dr Sardar M. N initiated a webinar by mentioning the significance of publishing in A* grade journals//SCI indexed journals and expressed that a renowned professor in a good university always demands one or more publications from his doctoral student. Dr Sardar gave an in-depth explanation of various steps involved in writing and publishing a scientific research paper in A* grade journals//SCI indexed journals. He gave information about What is publishable? organizing the paper, significance of writing paper incorrect English, review process. He also gave information about publication skills and strategies, life management skills, necessary professional and personal skills.

The webinar was attended by more than 300 participants across the world. This webinar was greatly appreciated by the participants. All the queries of the participants were cleared by the resource person.
